Financial and Legal Services

Overview

Jokings International Business College (“JIBC”) provides a convenient online payment facility for students, staff, parents, guardians, and authorised sponsors.

The JIBC PayOnline service enables users to make secure and efficient payments for tuition fees, registration fees, accommodation, learning materials, and other approved College services.

Before making a payment, users should review the applicable fees, payment terms, and the College's Refund Policy. Help documentation and contact information are available to assist users who experience difficulties with the service.

Payment Information

JIBC PayOnline accepts the following debit and credit cards, subject to availability and approval by the payment provider:

VisaMastercardMaestroVisa ElectronVisa Debit

Users must ensure that:

  • The payment details entered are accurate.
  • The cardholder has authorised the transaction.
  • The correct student name and identification number are provided.
  • The correct payment amount and fee category are selected.
  • Sufficient funds are available to complete the transaction.

Card acceptance may depend on the issuing bank, country, currency, transaction limit, and security requirements of the payment provider.

Payment Confirmation

After a successful transaction, the user should receive an electronic confirmation or receipt. Users are advised to save or print this confirmation for their records.

A payment should not be considered complete until confirmation has been issued and the transaction appears in the relevant College account.

If a confirmation is not received, users should check their email, including the spam or junk folder, and review their bank or card statement before attempting the payment again. This helps prevent duplicate transactions.

Failed or Pending Payments

A transaction may be declined, delayed, or marked as pending because of:

  • Incorrect card information.
  • Insufficient funds.
  • Bank security restrictions.
  • Transaction or card limits.
  • Interrupted internet access.
  • Additional verification requirements.
  • Temporary payment-system issues.

Where a payment is unsuccessful, users should contact their card issuer or bank in the first instance. If the problem continues, they should contact the JIBC Finance Office and provide the date, amount, student name, and any transaction reference available.

Users should not send complete card details, passwords, PINs, or security codes by email, telephone message, or other unsecured communication.

Security Information

Online transactions made through JIBC PayOnline are processed through the PayPal online payment portal in a secure environment.

Information entered during the payment process is encrypted during transmission between the user's browser and the payment server. This helps protect payment information from unauthorised access while the transaction is being processed.

For additional security, users should:

  • Access the payment service only through the official JIBC website or student portal.
  • Check that the payment page uses a secure connection before entering financial information.
  • Avoid making payments through public or unsecured Wi-Fi networks.
  • Keep passwords, PINs, and verification codes confidential.
  • Log out after completing a transaction on a shared device.
  • Retain the official payment receipt.
  • Report any suspicious or unauthorised transaction immediately.

JIBC staff will never request a user's complete password, card PIN, or one-time security code.

Refunds and Reversals

Payments made through JIBC PayOnline are subject to the College's Tuition Fee Refund and Withdrawal Policy.

Submitting a payment does not create an automatic right to a refund. Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned to the original payment method or original payer, subject to appropriate identity and financial verification.

Payment-provider, bank, transfer, or currency-conversion charges may be non-refundable.

Privacy

Personal and payment-related information will be handled in accordance with the JIBC Data Protection and Privacy Policy.

Information collected through the payment process will be used only for legitimate purposes, including:

  • Processing and confirming payments.
  • Maintaining financial and student records.
  • Preventing fraud.
  • Responding to payment enquiries.
  • Meeting legal, audit, and regulatory obligations.

Relevant information may be shared with authorised banks, payment processors, professional advisers, or public authorities where necessary and lawful.
